Re: Pix From Todays Walk (grady)

Luna sez if that's where that danged evil squurr-ll is hiding from Give Kids the World she will come up there and PER-sonally find that one small aminal an GET it! It's evil -- it's NEEDS getting .. bad!! Lizards can live if they are faster than she is. But squirrels ... that one in particular ... are small animals that deserve to be "got" ... and how nice of that sign ta let her know (silly humans need a sign ... when a dog can sniff it!)

Re: rw-I was TRYING to watch T.V., then...

Nah -- Gina, just get her a blue suit. If Tina Fey doesn't want to do Sarah Palin any more you can let Cleo do it! It's all in the smile .. and the eyes, I think. (Callie heading back to her hole in the wall)

Re: awww

Ms. Socks used to FAR prefer the company of cats to dogs. Cute stuff.

Re: Good thoughts for Austin (Outdoorschik)

Absolutely -- it could also be parasites -- many, many things. Good thots and prayers for sure!

Re: Positive Thoughts and Vibes Needed for Tessy

I'm glad you're going back -- esp since that other vet didn't check for dry eye and gave you an antibiotic that may be contraindicated by the IMHA treatment. At least you'll get to ask. It could simply be severe joint inflammation in the jaw -- or some sort of related infection that's affecting the eye. With this disease anything is possible. But the folks on here are SO good about prayers and good thots!! Get better quick, Tessy!!

Re: pacing, stumbling, and wandering into corners... help!

When you re-check the thyroid you might want to send it to Dr. Jean Dodds at Hemopet.org or even Michigan State (Dr. Dodd's bloodwork IS more comprehensive but both do breed-specific testing which helps a TON). But what you're describing is something I'd take to a good holistic vet who does TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine) and acupuncture or at least a vet who does chiropractic. This sounds SO MUCH like my Kee Shu. Much of her problem comes from some arthritis in the low

Re: Border collie puppy unable to calm down around new puppy

[quote user="SkysTheLimit"]I do all of that, and more. It's definitly not a situation of lack of mental and physical stimulation on Skylar's part, hence my description of his daily routine. He's in puppy-level dog sport classes, and goes with me to work, and plays with coworker's dogs in a fenced backyard, etc. And, like I also mentioned, she does that terrified thing, then she runs up and jumps on his face to play more. She tries to make it a two-way-street, it just doesn't

Re: Good thoughts for Brutus * Good update pg 9!!!

Part of what they're doing is to try to identify what "type" the IMHA has assumed. Some will target ONLY reticulocytes (baby red blood cells) -- some will target only "adult" cells. Sometimes it goes after reticulocytes SO hard it goes into the bone marrow to get the reticulocytes. What does all that mean to the owner? Not much really except some of it has to do with how they deal with it. Blood has a "life" -- it only lives a certain length of time (like a couple

Re: Good Vibes For Maghee, Please

I know I'll never agree with most folks on here, but I tend to have dogs make it to an OLD age (17, 19 21?? and two of those ... no THREE ... with significant health issues) I see NO value in high protein. It's easier on the body do to a lower protein. I'm not gonna argue -- but I think this is over-debated, and quite flatly I have longevity on my side. Every time I try to push an old dogs protein up I get in trouble. This is from Wikepedia: " [ edit ] Therapeutic uses In the United

Re: Molly has a new wart

Muffin had one on his FOOT -- right on the bottom. Darned thing looked like a whole new toe was trying to grow out of his foot. They had to surgically remove it (but we did it with something else that HAD to be done) but he was convinced his entire foot had been cut off with a spoon and hoards of mean people had done this TERRIBLE thing to him. (the other surgery which WAS a big deal completely took 2d place to this horrific, terrible, awful, no-good, very bad thing they did to his FOOT. (LOL) If
