Now I'd say level 2, before getting Sophie and Cruiser, Level 1. They were our first dogs for an average run of the mill family. I can see how a lot of people would have their level confused, I see it just with family and friends all the time. They just don't understand the work of dog ownership as it is, nevermind a rescue who comes with some issues and it doesn't end up working out. I'd say we got very lucky, Sophie was definitely a Level 1 dog, she wasn't socialized to dogs

That's so bizarre!! There is a lady in my neighborhood who carries one of her Yorkies in a carrier and walks the other two on leash. It's really strange and always makes me chuckle! I think when some people are empty nesters they substitute dogs for their grown kids, I don't really have a problem with it, but when they start to have behavioral problems due to being treated like a kid and not a dog, I feel badly for the dog. I'm sort of surprised that people do it in public, not sure
I have always found the feeding "recommendations" to be way high. If I followed the feeding recommendations on ANY bag I'd seen, instead of using kcals as a guide, I'd have the worlds FATTEST gsds.
I TOTALLY agree. My dogs are both on BB. My big girl is 68 pounds and gets 2 cups a day. Cruiser is about 45 pounds and gets 1 and 1/4 cups per day (still needs to lose a little weight to). I think BB is a really great food, but at 4 cups a day

Me to!! I actually have lost a lot of respect for her. So many people pick this up thinking it's great stuff for their dogs, when really it's just another poor quality food.

Wow, she looks a lot like my Sophie (Sophie has her summer haircut, her coat is normally much darker)! We suspect Sophie is Border Collie, Keeshond, and I'm not really sure what else. She's about 65 pounds, so something a little larger then BC and Keeshond has to be in there, maybe Shepherd, but who knows! I'd say your pup definitely has some Border Collie or Aussie in her.

Her face/eyes definitely look BC to me!

I'm REALLY disapointed. Lisa has been a solid leader the whole season, I was pretty shocked she lost. I like Huber and am happy for him, but would've been much more satisfied if she won.

Well, before I was a dog person, I really didn't care too much for dogs. Mostly, because of experiences I had, few were ever positive. Mostly it was several experiences with friends or family that had big dogs that jumped all over me when I entered their house, being either pregnant, or having had young children with me, it made me nervous. I also didn't really care for leaving covered in dog hair and was just generally nervous around dogs. Since getting dogs, my life and viewpoint has changed

I'd wait also so the dog can be socialized to the baby. I'm not sure how young of a baby I'd want with a puppy, I'd want to wait a good long while personally. The nipping and chewing of pupies, then the adolesence months aren't things I'd want to be dealing with when most of my attention would be on a newborn baby. We didn't get a dog until my youngest was four, I couldn't have imagined doing it younger, my kids took up ALL my energy before then, I needed them to be

When repairmen come I always crate the dogs. I agree, they are there to work and don't need the dogs hanging around them. My cousin is an HVAC guy and he says he can't stand when he's at someone's house to work and the dog keeps wanting attention and the owner just says things like "awww, he wants to play, he likes you" stuff like that instead of doing anything about it. If a pizza delivery man plays with the dogs (I let them come to the door with me) then I tip him extra
