Re: Good kibble?

I'm not tryin to be rude or anything..but Chicken Soup for the dog lovers soul isn't grain free at all. Innova Evo is grain free.

Re: Hill's prescription z/d dry with bha & propyl gallate

I've thought about this as well. I eat stuff with bha and bht in it (cereal especially) so why is it such a big deal to give to my dogs? The answer I came up with is; I'm not eating cereal 24/7. That is not my only food I'm eating. The dog food you feed your dog is ALL (or almost all) that dog is eating. Think about how much bha/bht that adds up to be, compared to your eating cereal or a granola bar with it in it.

Re: Oatmeal in Kibble?

oatmeal is a good ingredient. it's easily digestible and good for dogs with a sensitive stomach.

Re: Unsure about Holistic dog food- Blue Buffalo

4 cups definitely sounds like a lot!! My dog weighs 55lbs and she gets 2 1/2 cups a day. I'd say she has a moderate activity level. She's eating Natural Balance AMP..

Re: Ingredient Question?

I wouldn't call it "good". It is probably the best you can get at Kroger, but that isn't saying much. It's very similar to Nutro Natural Choice chicken rice and oatmeal, and lamb meal and rice. I would actually say it is a bit better than the Nutro because it has chicken meal as a first ingredient and the new Nutro uses just "chicken" as their first ingredient. Also..the Lassie food doesn't use menadione, and last I checked Nutro still did. With all that said it

Re: Went to PetCo last night...

that's really sad about the petco's i hear that are nasty. we have one of the highest rated in our area as far as customer satisfaction. it just all depends on the store manager and district manager in your area. i'm surprised they allow it to get that way. we would get our butts chewed if there were even the least bit dusty specks anywhere!

Re: prescription dog food

i would not want to feed that unless it were an ABSOLUTE last resort. that's just my opinion.. what have you tried before this? have you tried any of the "allergy" foods like natural balance potato and duck?

Re: so Yahoo! says Rachel Ray has dog food now?

the dog whisperer's food is expensive..you can get something better for cheaper. I wouldn't, however, call it "crap". It's much better than other foods out there.
