I had found the same thing when looking for treats for my now former epi dog. I had always bought him the no corn/wheat paul newmans brand and then after he became epi and I was told to avoid rosemary I couldn't use them anymore. I am gettiing a new puppy in January and I have to get over this mind set I have that I can't use rosemary. At least I hope for the best that I won't have to eliminate it. If I get another epi dog again I might have to raise goldfish for a change.

Dublin has been having problems with this potassium bromide in regards to an upset stomach. He woke vomitting blood and was very sick. In terrible pain and I put him down a couple hours ago. I couldn't afford all that was needed to try to help him get through this. It was controlling his seizures very well but in the end he got pancreatitis. They think he had ulcers from the amount of blood and he might need surgery also. He need at least a week in the hospital and I didn't have the money

Thank you so very much, it does help to hear that others felt you did what you could. And a special thanks to Callie who in beginning of this (it's only been a few month) tried to help me make the right informed choices. I know Callie I didn't do enough and I didn't even start to get going on the holistic end of things. His clusters made it hard to not start the pheno. But I do believe that with an endless supply of cash on hand things could have been so different for him. I should have

Dublin has this strange thing he has done since he was 8 weeks old. His food bowl is in a corner of the kitchen behind our table. When I pour in his food, he has to circle the downstairs once before coming to the bowl. He approaches the bowl sniffs, looks up, sniffs it again, then sniffs the water bowl next to it, then digs in. He does this every single time. When he wants to drink the water next to the food bowl he always comes back around our table and drinks from a totally different side than

That dog flu went around our dog park summer of 2008. They even closed down a few doggie daycare centers in the area to stop the spread. My dog didn't get it and I didn't know of any vaccine for it. Our vet never said a thing. I probably won't get it for him since I haven't heard of any cases this year in our area. But should it become a problem here again, considering he is with so many dogs everyday, I would consider if it wasn't dangerous for an epi dog to have it.

And with my dog everytime I turn around he is wrapped around someone who is touching him. He is a people magnet and everyone wants to pet him. But the stereotypical responses are usually the same, "My Aunt/Uncle/Grandparents" used to have a setter, craziest dog I ever saw. Is yours crazy hyper too? Um no, he sleeps half the day. Does he run away all the time? Um no, we can't get him to leave. Did you cut off his hair? Um no, he has a field coat. Do you have to groom him all the time

I see this in our area as well. And I am surprised how many come in the dog park with pit mixes and say oh they said it is a boxer mix or lab mix. When to most of us, it is obvious what it is. I have asked our local rescue why they do this mislabeling thing and they said because if they put pit mix they don't get adopted. What I find interesting is I don't recall even hearing of pit bulls 25 years ago, and yet in a short amount of time they seem to have procreated with just about every breed

I need to keep Dublin's salt level steady and not cause a big increase in it. I noticed on treats it does not give that information. I am guessing pig ears, hickory basted bones and basted bones in chicken broth would be saltier. I have no clue what to look for on labels. Our vet said stick with the more natural colored unflavored items. He of course loves his basted ones. I guess we will have to forego them for now. Sigh....poor guy has so few "highlights" to his week. I hate taking

http://blogs.consumerreports.org/safety/2009/10/safety-news-pet-food-recall-product-recalls.html I heard nothing about this but use a great website for product recalls of all sorts. They posted this today. Cat and Dog products both. Wysong and Nutro.

Our previous dog was fighting the bulge is whole 10 years of life. If I knew what callie just posted, I surely would of looked into that. I have already written down the recommended tests from Dr. Dodd for my dogs problems. Waiting to discuss it with our vet as well. That is such a small amount of food for an active dog to eat and still gain weight. My dog must have a high metabolism because he eats like a horse compared to yours. He is 62lbs and eats at least 4 cups of food a day. Some days 3 cups
