RUNNING AROUND LIKE A CRAZY WOMAN - yes.  Seriously, though she started walking actually on her birthday at the beginning of May.  It took her about two weeks to catch her stride and now she runs laps around the house.  It's so funny to watch.  We play hide and seek now - it's so amazing.  She doesn't talk though (I am a little worried about it).  She babbles constantly and expresses herself with her hands (like a true Italian) but mostly it's just dadadada and mamama. Pictures - **Pic Heavy**(mrstjohnson) Reply Contact Lisa, about Riley's speech, get her hearing tested.  My son was way behind in the speech category and when we had him tested around age 2, we discovered that was part of the problem.  He ended up having tubes put in his ears - they never drained well and he had chronic ear infections.  The tubes helped with the drainage, therefore the infections and cleared up the blockages so things weren't muffled.  His speech took off by leaps and bounds.  He did also spend several years in speech therapy, and even before kindergarten age, the program was provided by the public school system.  When he was 3 & 4, he went during the school year and the summer - even got picked up by the school bus.  It was all free (part of our tax dollars).  He honestly hasn't shut up since! Pictures - **Pic Heavy**(mrstjohnson) Reply Contact Thanks everyone!  I really appreciate it!  I did ask the doctor about it and he didn't seem worried about it, but at her 18 month appt. I am going to maybe have him check her again. janobonano: How did she do getting her ears pierced? How old was she?    I got them pierced a week after her first birthday.  She did pretty good.  They "try" to do them both at the same time, but she is waayy too squirmy for that so they did one at a time.  I had them done at the mall.  I was pleasantly surprised at how they did it.  They did it with the gun and the only thing the posts of the earring ever touches is her ear.  She did cry after each one but stopped at the sight of the HUGE sucker I brought...1 minute later she was fine and laughing.  Here she is with my niece right after it was done...
