    Re: Exercise

All three of mine love playing with other dogs and running/chasing eachother. They aren't big on fetch...they enjoy going after a ball, but not bringing it back. I'm working with Ripley right now on catching objects in the air, no formal agility, but jumping over bars and through hoops. Frosty has a luxating patella, and until I have it evaluated further, I'm taking it sort of easy with him, just walks and playing with the other dogs.

    Re: Exercise

Rupert absolutely loves to go swimming. He'll fetch sticks, a ball, frisbee, or just swim for the heck of it. He loves to jump off docks. He also loves to go running with us when we go mountain biking.

We don't have a dog park, but once in a while we'll get together with other dogs for a play date at a big field at the college. As for just playing in the yard, we play with the tennis ball chuckit. We tried agility, but *I* just wasn't coordinated enough. Plus I didn't like the people running it. I'd like to get some cheap equipment to set up in the yard.

We also do search & rescue training once a week.

Kaiser = chuck it. Obsessed with it!

Wyatt's not the most active, but enjoys a nice leisurely walk.

    Re: Exercise

Neiko's is playing frisbee. He LOVES it when I get out 5+ frisbees and throw them in quick succession.

    Lily likes to be chased.

Dakota used to love to roller blade. Now she just likes walks.

    Re: Exercise

Bugsy's favorite exercise is anything that means he can go crazy Big Smile

He has to have his trot in the morning - this appears to be a 'job' of his though.  He enjoys it and if he misses it he is borderline obsessive about it.

He has come to love biking and sometimes he runs so fast he is pulling me.  He loves to hike, play with other dogs, frisbee, get chased, fetch with his kong ball in a sock toy or air kong football - no tennis balls for him, hunting (on his own in the yard), wrestling with DH,  and we play 'find it' hiding a toy in the house and he has to find it.

Whatever exercise he is enjoying is his favorite!

    Re: Exercise

No yard for us here, so the girls go on lots of walks and have wrestling fun in the living room on a regular basis.  Maggie plays with her flirt pole every once in a while (when I remember it) and does some agility, Z does agility once a week, likes fetch, and attends the Puppy PlayGroup I host via my job each Saturday (depending on client dog attendance).

    BlackLabbie:

Apollo defiantly enjoys a nice, long game of fetch with his Chuck It and a tennis ball, preferably fetching it out of the water.

What she said!  I think Ben and Apollo would get along well. :)

    Re: Exercise

I used to jog with Maggie, and she loved it. Now she's not very active. She much prefers lounging around the house. She goes for walks now, but she doesn't care to walk as much as she loves to sniff everything everywhere. She also really enjoys walking through and swimming in the creek at the park.

Now Teddi needs exercise, he's very active. DH and his new favorite exercise is taking him to the park, DH rollerblades and Teddi jogs in the grass next to him and loves it! He also enjoys playing fetch with balls and running in big open fields, along with swimming in the creek.
