    Re: Happy Canada Day!

Hey thanks! Just finished a fine Back Bacon on a bun with Poutine on the side. I'm off to grab a double double and a timbit to top it all off.  Too bad Canada Day didn't fall on the weekend this year or I would skip the double double and go for the Two Four. Eh!

What do you mean Code?  That's normal talk...Wish I could have done a 2-4 today, but being pregnant, I'm not allowed.  Pfft....for that matter the XL Double double was a no go as well.  This sucks!

    Thanks!  Although late! lol

Ahhh  Calinisima, if you like coffee, you will appreciate a double double when you get here!  I don't like coffee but people here go NUTS for tim hortons!  The one road town I live in has TWO tim hortons!

I had peameal bacon for breakfast and the leftovers for dinner last night!  Was quite good!!

Unfortunately at 10pm people wer elighting off fireworks literally right across the street from my house, directly in front, my father was worried they would hit the cars in our driveway!  And poor Maddie was terrified!  Zack, on the other hand didn't seem to notice lol

Whaddaya mean late?!?!  It was the middle of the day on the first when I posted this, while dreaming of Wonderbars, Caramilks and Smarties at my desk.

I could really go for some good fries poutine today, and a beaver tail for that matter!!!    Ugh, homesick now.   Crying

    Re: Happy Canada Day!

FYI, a Double Double is a coffee with 2 cream, 2 sugar, not necessarily from Timmy's but they know what you mean if you ask for one there.

Uh.....do they not have Smarties in the states?  Do we have an emoticon for a look of shocked terror?Indifferentthats as close as I can get.....What is a country without Smarties?

    Re: Happy Canada Day!

We do have smarties down here but they are most similar to the rolled sugar candy with a tart taste that kids yet in their Hallowe'en bags.

I have given Smarties to my fellow americans in the hopes of getting them addicted but they just say..."hmm, tastes like an M&M".  What?!?!?  You can't be serious?!?!?

BTW - all Cadbury products down here are made by Hershey and taste like, guess what, Hershey.  We also don't have Tetley Tea!!!!!!

Wait!  So no Mr Big?  No Oh Henry?  No Crispy Crunch?  And what about Cream Eggs at Easter?  Those have to be Cadbury!  And I also just found out that Old Dutch is a Canadian made thing too....How sad is that?  Oh and Shantacy told me that you can't get Pizza Pops down there...she was just kidding right?

    Re: Happy Canada Day!

Sniff... Crying   I've forgotten what Pizza Pops and Shreddies cereal taste like.  We do have Old Dutch in Minnesota but not when I lived in Delaware, the next best things were Utz chips but they didn't have S&V flavour!

We do not have any of the chocolate bars you mentioned but we do have cream eggs (note the spelling) at Easter.  They taste yucky.  My Mum sends me a dozen Creme Eggs from Nova Scotia in a paper egg container for Easter - yay Mum!!!

Do you still have Peanut Butter Oh Henry's?  I couldn't find any during my last trip...
