Good Thoughts for Sicky Salem Please

Hi everyone. Salem has been sick since yesterday. He threw up stomach acid about 6 times and wouldn't eat yesterday. We had trouble getting him to drink, but we did get fluids in him and I gave him some ginger to help with the throwing up, and that seemed to work. We were going to bring him to the vet first thing this morning, but he seems to be on the mend. I got some chicken and rice in him and he drank some water without us convincing him too. He still seems to not feel well, but I think I will delay the vet trip for now as long as he keeps getting better. I have him at the office with me so I can keep a good eye on him.

I'm not sure what caused this. He had some tripe sat. night, but he has had it before without problems. He also drank some water from my pond, but it wasn't much and he hasn't had problems before. We try to discourage them drinking from it, but the water isn't chemical treated or anything and it's clear so I don't know if that was it.

If everyone could send good thoughts and prayers for Salem to continue to feel better I would appreciate it. It makes me feel terrible when my baby isn't feeling well.

Good vibes for Salem from everyone here, furry and otherwise!  It's so stressful when you pup is sick, but I'm glad he's getting better.  Keep us posted!

Thanks everyone. He still seems to be doing okay. He is sleeping next to my desk. He hasn't thrown up since the ginger and he kept down the chicken and rice so that was good. He is drinking water still. The not wanting to drink had me a lot more worried then the not eating.
