Jason looked as if It was too much trouble to show up and sing .

He really did....I think he knows it's his time to go.

    Re: *~*American Idol*~*

I'm not as "emotionally invested" now that my favorites are gone (Michael Johns and Carly Smithson, who sang together on "Ellen" yesterday, BTW), so I'm watching only half-heartedly.  I think all 4 of them have talent, but each has a definite style that may or may not appeal to everyone.  In terms of who's the most versatile and marketable as a pop/radio star, I think David Cook is the most ready for that path.  I rarely dislike his performances, and he has more maturity and confidence than the other David for being able to handle what would be ahead for the winner.  He's also more interesting to watch - he's not just a ballad or "feel-good song" type like David A.

I admit that I like Jason - I like the folk style he gravitates to, and I think he's very humble, but he definitely doesn't deserve to be there any longer.  I agree that it seems like he doesn't want to win, he looks like he couldn't care less about being there.  Maybe he knows it's not his element and that he's better suited to the small-venue lifestyle, not the huge pop star thing.

I don't always like Syesha's performances, but I think she definitely wears the most beautiful outfits week after week.  I felt bad that her tears were destroying her make-up last night -- for her sake, I was wishing they'd quit putting the camera on her.  It was literally running down her face.

Unless all the younger teen-age girls with unlimited texting plans keep him in. Embarrassed I'd bet the farm that they're the only reason he hasn't been sent packing before now.

I'm hoping they were all voting for David A, not because I like David A..but because Jason REALLY needs to go first.

I wasn't really liking David Cs first song.... honestly never heard it...but I like the second one really well.   I don't want it to come down to the two Davids...because I think there are more David As age group voting.  Actually I voted last night ( for David Cook ) ,,,first time this year. It scared me because I got thru...over and over. I figured I would get the busy signals and just find something else to do....but it kept being NOT BUSY...and I felt that I had to keep voting because no one else was!!!   YIKES...hope I want voting the wrong person...like Jason.

Did anyone notice how well Paula did last night?   I like Paula.....and I hated her getting worse and worse this year...slower talking, and acting like she is spaced out.  But last night she did not do that at all.....wonder if last weeks mistake was a "wake up call" for her?"

    Anyone else read/hear this?

This is another reason I don't think David A should win....his Dad is too involved. I think he (Dad) needs to be involved because David A is technically a minor but this too much IMO.....maybe his Mom should step in instead of the Dad!

    Very interesting.

This is the first that I have read this story,,but I have heard several times that his father is a pain in the butt and has been thrown out of rehersals at some other contest that David had joined.   I think he has made a name for himself.

    Re: *~*American Idol*~*

They were reporting on the radio station I listen to on my way to work in their Entertainment News, about this. I had heard David's dad was a jerk, but...I have to say I wonder if he has confronted the judges at all. I have never and I mean never in all my years watching Idol (I only missed the first season) ever seen the judges be so complimentary to a individual competitor. I mean Simon LOVED Carrie Underwood, and early in the competition told her she would win, and go on to sell more records than any Idol winner before her (how true has that statement been) But he always told her when she had a bad performance. I don't think they really have with David A, Simon has been 'mildly' displeased a couple of times but not his usual way. David A is not that good to get Simon's "undying love". IMO.

    Re: *~*American Idol*~*

What you said, my neighbor and I were talking about this yesterday. He is just not that good, his mannerisms bother both of us, but the main thing that we are kind of perplexed with, he sings the same way, each and every time, never changes it, it is always a ballad, and my gosh we want to know why Simon has not mentioned the fact that he never changes his style???? I am really disappointed in Simon for not saying anything about that.

At this stage of the game, me thinks David A.'s daddy is liability. I had heard rumors of some issue's with Star search, and that he was a tad overbearing, but not this bad. If he is that controlling it would explain A's immaturity, song selections (some are just plain to old for someone so young) and why we have not seen this boy come on stage and just have FUN!

I am to the point that I will get up and walk out of the room when he is suppose to sing, which is sad.

Ok I belong to "other boards" (for shame I know) too. On my horse board, and my golden and lab boards there are Idol threads. Now I know the age group of the posters is "not" in David A fan club BUT the general opinion of all posters is David A is boring, and should not win. It amazes me. If we all voted perhaps David C would walk away with it.

It has driven me absolutely crazy that he has not changed it up and nothing has been said. At least David C "tries" something new almost every week. Sometimes it doesn't work but good for him for trying.

We (David C fans) should all do this if he makes it to the top 2! What do you think? Anybody else wanna?

You know... I never thought about that, but it's true! He's good at ballads, but let's hear something else. How weird would it be for him to launch into an up-tempo song, dancing around the stage and snapping his fingers? LOL

Ha,,,,maybe Simon DOES have a heart!  Maybe he is afraid the kid will cry...after all he is so young and immature!

I hope that everyone does start voting now that its at the end. Because I can see David A winning...all the teeny boppers love him.   Last week I voted for the first time this year, for David C. I start right before the end....you can get thru at that time..IF you are going to get thru.    But I must have voted 40 times....I kept getting thru,,,and thought that maybe since the line is not busy it means that others are not voting for him!

I really am afraid that its going to come down to the two Davids and that there are more teeny boppers doing text messages than the older group.
