  Elkhound vs. Furminator! Reply Contact  And the Furminator WINS! WOWWWWW!! Even though it's been snowing all day and is only 40° at the most....I had to try my new score. A pet store was going out of business and I got a medium Furminator for 20% off. So it was probably close to an internet price, minus shipping. I think it was $32.00. Price doesn't matter so much because we went out on the balcony for only five minutes and I am AMAZED! Flabbergasted! I kept looking at it to see if it was just cutting his fur, but no, nearly everything that was coming out was just underfur. WOW!  I am so glad I bought that thing!

Reply Contact Jean-Willow would like to know if you could take her for the next say three months or so--it's 60 degrees here and she's hot already and it's only spring!  Don't over Furminate--you don't want to take too much undercoat off.

  Re: Elkhound vs. Furminator! Reply Contact I'm grooming Shadow just about every day and the undercoat is still coming out in tufts, though I have kept up with it as well as I can. Often, outside, where the fur can just fly away. And a cardinal has built a nest for two chicks in our aloe vera hanging plant. Probably from some of the fur.
