    halloween costume ideas? (ridgeback)

I am stuck on finding a halloween costume. We are having a party at my house. I don't wanna be some cliche something or another, like a "sexy vampire" or what not. I would like to maybe dress up like someone famous, yet not spend a lot of money. Last year i was dolly parton...it was a lot of fun. It would be nice to just use clothes i already have, or can get at a goodwill or something.  Any ideas for anything???

be cheap like me...be the Wendy's people with a bright red wig in pigtails...or you can be "Thinkin Arby's" with regular clothes and the symbol cut out of styrofoam on your head via headband.

Roller Girl from Boogie Nights.  You get to dress in "vintage" clothes, & play around on rollerskates all night!

If that isn't quite your style, you could always go as Britney Spears.  I could give wardrobe advice, but instead, I'll just say "be creative"

At least if your Britney, you don't have to worry about wearing underwear.  Gina, that's a great idea.  I like that Arby's idea!  I might have to do something like that.  Emily's having something at her school and they say it should be original.  That would be original, right?  I really love that idea, I'm gonna tell my husband.  We love the commercial of the water skiers!

I'm pretty morbid, but you could be the ghost of Anna-Nichole. A sheet, a blond wig and 2 balloons and you're set.

That's as bad as the guy who won best costume for being "Roy", complete with tons of fake blood and a huge stuffed tiger glued to his neck! LMBO

    Jimmy's going as Elvis.

There are a lot of great ideas, you can use a sheet to cut out a cape, and put some glasses on his face (if he'll keep them on).

Put on a wig or a hat. Search the web for costume photos and find one that you could easily mimick with the stuff you already have at home.

You can get some good ideas here http://www.squidoo.com/DogCostumes to try to mimick them with items from home. Look through

the videos they may help you as well.

     Happy Halloween!

    "Roy"

    LOL That was good!

One year, I was a cat that got hit by a car. I wore a one-piece footie pajama and made a tail (very kinked). I wore a "cat mask" on my eyes and made whiskers and did "catty" makeup. I made black tire tracks on the PJs and dribbled a little fake blood out of the corner of my mouth.

These probably aren't the best costumes to suggest to an animal lover... Unless you're morbid, like me. Smile

My husband and I once went as ourselves, 50 years in the future.  It was cheap and got a lot of laughs.  A kid came to my house once as a blackboard, and another year a Christmas tree.  Both were hand made and pretty easy.  I once saw a kid with white turtleneck, white tights.  She had a laundry basket with the bottom removed.  The basket was then filled with white balloons.  She was a bubble bath, tub included.

Okay serious reply, now that I have knocked poor ole britty....

Take a couple of large T shirts and a cheap packet of clothing dye, make them a light tan brown (think deer skin)  use the first shirt as a dress or if you are a chuncky monkey like me a shirt, then the second gets cut into 8 inch bands you will sew these on then cut the attached bands into 1/2 or 1/4 inch  stirps   thread cheap craft beads on them and use one or two  paint pens to make decorations.   It is a cute Indian get up , you can even make the head band out of the cut up shirt... send pictures !!
