Torn paw pad

  Torn paw pad Reply Contact  Maze tore a hole in the pad of her front paw. The skin is still attached so it's kinda like a flap of skin. It's not bleeding, or causing her much pain but she is limping. I keep it covered (and dry), for a few days, to give it a chance to scab up.

I kept his paw wrapped with vet wrap just to reduce the friction of walking and to give him a little padding in between the ground and the torn pad. That's all you can do really. Just give it time

I got something called Cut Heal and his pad healed very quick. i bought it at a farm supply. Brookcove had told me it was commonly used for flyball injuries

I am gonna bring her to work tomorrow and let her behavior tell me whether I should run her or not. At least it'll get her out of the house!  I'll have to go hunting for that stuff!
