I took Indie for his summer haircut today. I left pics of the goldens from the golden summer doo thread and also this one
and told them I wanted the golden's length on the body, but this shorter length on the rump and tail. I also asked them to shave his belly from his front legs back. I didn't exactly get what I wanted. The body is a little shorter than I was hoping for and they only shaved his actual belly and took the rest of his stomach down to the same length as the body. They left his tail longer than I had asked for but I think it's because they were all having angst about cutting his beautiful fur. I LOVE the length on his tooshie! He went out and rolled around in the yard and didn't pick up a leaf or a burr, but his tail did!! 
He got lots of oohs and aahs when I dropped him off and when I picked him up they went on and on about how heartbroken they were to cut him. But, he's showing real promise for therapy work. They had him out of his crate, wandering the store and greeting all the customers who he loved and they all loved him right back. They just went on and on about his great disposition. 
Little do they know how much danger their pricey merchandise was in with this chew monster! In fact, they had loads of handbags and belts hanging around where he was chilling and I wouldn't be surprised if they find some "alterations" to them tomorrow morning!
So, here's how he turned out! He's much more comfy, I can tell, he was zippy and zoomy and rolling all around the house when we got home! Now he'll be purdy and comfy for the 4th!
