What a polite person you must be, moderating your statement to just "sickened". I am APPALLED, at the behavior of this animal, and what caused it, disturbs me in several ways !
Animals who trust their Owner/providers, do not display this behavior. Present and past, I can handle any part of my animal, his toys, food or anything he feels is "his". This level of aggression is something that is learned from puppyhood, and it makes me think that it was repeatedly teased or punished by having "something" taken away for poor behavior in some way.
Bevolasvegas, if you're right about some external "attachment" or provocation causing the animals leg movement, disgusts me to NO END. Causing this activity intentionally, is just OUT OF LINE TOTALLY ! God didn't put these creatures on this earth, for us to treat them like some Autonotomic device for us to abuse, on a bad night for TV.
Now, IF there's some legitimate reason for this...It could be that the animal is having some Visual Acuity problem, or, an issue with self awareness, which IF that is the case, could have been caused by some physical injury to him. "Ticks" and other "Involuntary" actions, are in many cases caused by some sort of head injury (a kick or fall, but something quite traumatic). I think I'd get this animal to a qualified Vet for a thorough exam before I started an extensive re-training effort to reestablish his confidence in his surroundings..
Given my recommendation for a Head Examination for the Animal, I'd extend that advice to those who were filming/provoking/laughing at it, also.
