Adolescent cattle dog needs home. Has seen professional behaviorist who dx'd owner directed aggression (no punctures) due to displaced herding behaviors. This dog is smart, does well at day care and play groups with both people and other dogs, a bit obnoxious when soliciting a subordinate dog to play, but respects the space of the more powerful dogs. Will tug with another dog without being a jerk. Likes water, and will tip a dish and lay in it, so non-skid water bowls are a must:-) He will be available for adoption in Sept. to an ACD savvy home with no small kids (he is a rambunctious player). Will need a "job" such as agility, or some other mentally stimulating activity and might do well in a home that has a compatible playmate dog - you can't tire him out walking lol. He will need NILIF and an owner used to dealing with a pushy dog using positive methods and management tools. We have extensive knowledge of his background, will be able to refer you to his original vet for his records, and think he will do well in the right home, so PM if you are interested.

"The fidelity of a dog is a precious gift demanding no less binding moral responsibilities than the friendship of a human being. The bond with a true dog is as lasting as the ties of this earth can ever be." ~ Konrad Lorenz
