Yes, I might have made the gardens up.  I'm thinking that when I get the last of the weeds taken out, the balance of the flowers planted, and the remainder of the mulch spread, then I will take pictures and beg someone to post them for me.

OK, here ya' go, Glenda's flowers and gardens and may I say I LOVE your front porch and would love to sit and sip tea and watch the world go by!  It's really pretty, Glenda. :)

I had to fix the spacing, I kept messing it up and now I have a huge gap at the end.  I finally got tired of editing once I got the pic spacing fixed. lol Embarrassed

Two Buck Chuck is a pretty decent wine that you can get only at Trader Joes for $2.00 a bottle.  It's from the Charles Shaw Winery in Napa, CA
    it's really 3 buck chuck here - $2.99/bottle

Glenda - your garden is absolutely beautiful!!! It almost makes me want to cry (happy tears) to think of you living in that RV for so long and now having this lovely home and yard. Yay for you!! You deserve it.

Yes, it is and that was my point silly :) - things are usually more expensive here. Maybe because we're so close to wine country, we get it cheaper.

Glenda, the garden looks great.  I'm so happy that you're finally settling in.  Now can you come visit me for a few weeks & work in my flower beds?  Please?????

I'm so jealous of two buck chuck.  A cheap bottle of wine here usually costs $4-5, & it's not really what I would call "good" wine.

Ummm, sure Amanda.  Would January work for you?  Too danged hot there!  Here too but at least I don't have a time limit!  And I still have yet another one to do that is even larger!

Thanks for the compliments all.  Once I had it weeded and had a clean slate to work with it was a piece of cake.  GETTING that clean slate, not so much!

I dearly love that porch!  I can sit out there when it storms, as it did today for HOURS, and enjoy the cooler weather and stay bone dry!  Watch the birds, the squirrels, the geckos.....now and then I can see the horses down the road a piece, and that's a real treat.  Folks wave if they see me on the porch...it's cool!

And now, their is absolute photographic proof that I've GOT that garden.  I suppose next I'll have to post pics of the fictional dogs.......

Bah, I had to leave the garden early due to lack of light but I have a good start for tomorrow morning.

Glenda your garden is awesome! And I too envy you that porch.

Now, I support the pictures of the dogs, please and thank you.

But I really want to request the photo of a certain Duck!

Glenda, your garden and front porch are absolutely gorgeous. I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of them.

Amanda, TX isn't really all that far from CA. Big Smile Next time you find yourself in the Golden State for any reason, there will probably be a TJs pretty close.  Just load up and haul it home.

Rent??  Shoot, around here all I'll have to do is hit a shelter.  I could bring home 2 or 3 dozen for a day or two.

And, actually, the way the geckos follow me around and shoot, even the ferrel cats, maybe a dog or two would just follow me home......

It was so wierd. Went to the Post Office a bit after they had cosed to check my box.  Saw one of the cats that hang out there and knelt down and talked to him/her.  Poor little dear has only a tiny tail, almost like someone docked it.  It was fine so long as I was knealing and ok if I took a few steps, but any more and it would take off.  "Ok", I say, "I don't want to scare you  I'll leave."  And started walking awy.  Danged thing started following me!  This happen FOUR times before I finally gave up and left!  I've seen a lady there feeding them and they do have food and water bowls there but this particular kitty sure was NOT afraid of me.

So, was I supporting its right to tease me?  Or enabling it to remain a bit leary?

Jaime??  Where are you?  Still breaking out the whips?

Great idea!!!!  I thought that my boss was going to strangle me for having a painting shipped back to Texas last time that I was in San Fran.  I'm sure that she'll be thrilled at the idea of me shipping a case of wine back home.  Tongue Tied  I'll bet that, if I share or get her a case of her own, she'll be ok with it!
