I don't mean to brag when so many are suffering with the heat but it has been an amazinlgly beautiful day. It's probably 75ish and a bit breezy right now. I wish this would last forever but we're going to heat up this week. Still, it's been nice to give the AC a break lately.

I did a ton of cleaning and the house looks sparkly clean. I also made a really yummy chicken and pasta dish that'll feed us for a few days this week. I felt very nesty today and other than a run to Target for some cleaning supplies, I haven't left the house. I could use another day off to do some shopping but it's probably better for my budget that I go back to work.

Hot, hot, hot.  We grilled some sausages and onions and I felt like I was on the grill myself. :( It's been a quiet, lazy day.  Too hot to do much of anything.  We walked early this morning and have stayed inside since then.  The dogs are now ready to play, so I guess we'll go outside when the sun gets lower.

The weekends don't seem long enough......

Its raining!  Yipee!  It has been so dry around here, all the plants, trees, grass are all choking.  Thank you Mother Nature.  We needed it desparately.

It just stopped.  I jinxed it.

    Come back!

Barbara, I was close to you on Wednesday (we were in Conroe)  and ya'll really do need the rain.  Fingers crossed that it starts raining again for you!

Shooter & I went to a nursing home for a therapy visit.  Shoe loves old people, & he was thrilled to get to go from lap to lap for luvins.  Even though he's a little monster at home, I'm so proud that he remembers his manners when we're out in public.

How the heck are you supposed to deal with people who take drugs for recreation?  Who put themselves into a homeless shelter/rehab, but really still see drugs as "fun"?  And they're not even 20 years old?  How are you supposed to deal with them?
