  threedogjeep Joined on 08-01-2006 Posts 255 Points 0	What is the right thing? Reply Contact Caity had 5 beds around the house so that she could keep an eye on me comfortably wherever I was. Do I remove those beds quickly? I mean, as far as how Leela and Godzilla might need or not need them there? I can't remember what I used to know about this topic. Please help.

Reply Contact Now that I think on it a bit ... if they are washable I'd wash them twice ... and then switch them around and put them in diferent places.  And if they stay empty, then donate them to the local shelter.  They won't go to waste that way and another dog will get helped.

  Re: What is the right thing? Reply Contact  I think that is just what I will do. And if my babies don't use them, I will take them to the SPCA where we got Leela. It's only about 3 miles away and they surely can use them there. Not the leash, harness or collar though. Those go in a shadow box next to the ones used by Rufus. Leela fell asleep tonight tucked up against the bed where Caity died..Just in the same position she always laid when Cait was there. I think it was comforting for her.

Reply Contact For the longest time after we lost Muffin the Intrepid, Foxy "adopted" a big stuffed toy dog that David had given me for Christmas.  "Fluffy" was his snuggle buddy for the next year and a half and when I had to take Foxy to Dr. B for his trip "over the Bridge" FLUFFY WENT TOO.  And yeah, my vet humors me that way ... he was a large stuffed dog.  But I figured since Fluffy had given him so much comfort he deserved to accompany Foxy.  Fox and Muffin were used to sleeping "back to back" and Fox just decided sleeping solo sucked.
