  The zoo - PIC HEAVY - *updated, more pix added* Reply Contact It was Will's birthday yesterday (Wednesday).  We took him to the zoo.  I have lots of piccies to share   I will put the snakes/lizards/bugs in a seperate post.... all of these are fluffy or feathered (or William), no skeery beasts in here!  The first few are of Wills on the morning of his birthday, the rest are of the animals we saw.... Please enjoy! Birthday boy eating breakfast....    Happy burfday Wills!     My sister got him this - it's a story book with train tracks inside and a wind up train to travel along the tracks. He liked it a lot! Here we are at the zoo.... we saw the elephants first   Next to the elly pant enclosure they have an Elephant Forest... here are some of the things we saw there:   Next we saw some warthogs.   There were lots of fat, friendly ducks!   The chimps were one of my favourites.... The one with his arms folded is called Boris.  He is 42.     Off to see some more animals now... Watch out for the tree Daddy! Tree? What tree?   Onagers   A warty pig... A baby warty pig...   Some orangs... This was awesome... she came RIGHT upto the window to show us her baby.  I couldn't believe how close we were.  Shame about the refelction.   Spot the gibbon...   Flamingoes!       Penguins... Will loved that penguin!   The tiger... which refused to come out and be photographed.  Harrumph! Will's not ginger?   Also, *I* got that close... Will was not so keen.  He was fascinated, but he kept a bit of distance from the window.  Mind you, I don't blame him.... HE doesn't know that they can't come through, and they ARE very big and strong - and they look it too.  Anyways, here are a few more of the animals we saw... I was too tired to finish uploading last night, sorry! Here is the lion.... Unfortunately he drew quite a crowd and I couldn't get a good spot to take a photo...   Mrs Lion   Watch out Mrs Lion... he's a-comin...   Wills watching from a "safe" vantage point!!    Oooooo... stretch!   A lemur...   Cheetahs   Tapirs...   More fat ducks!   William finding out what a Rhino nose is supposed to feel like... Ugh! Will, don't pick the rhinose! Argh! don't pick YOUR nose either!   Aw. Rhino Baby   Compare the meerkat dot com.   I think that's all for now... I have some of giraffes and butterflies that I haven't uploaded yet becuase I don't have the right cable.  Hope you liked them! The lion is handsome but I hate how zoos so often let their predators get overweight! Our meerkats here at one of the best zoo's in the country are FAT...lol.   Re: The zoo - PIC HEAVY Reply Contact  I have managed to FINALLY upload the rest of my zoo pics to my pc.  Here they are Giraffes.   Just Will, having a great time   Tortoises...   Red river hogs   An okapi - I LOVED this dude!  I wanted to take it home.... extremely pretty and unusual creature.
