I'm excited to see the Bichons! I've never been allowed to do a real Bichon clip (or whatever would have happened, had I tried;). It's always "Don't cut his ears!" or "get the feet really short". *sigh*  Maybe I should just buy a BichonBig Smile

Yeah, a friend of mine in FL just had a litter of Bichon puppies, and I'm wishing sooooo bad I didn't already have a million dogs.  I only groom three to breed standard, and 2 are my comp. dogs which I groom for free.  And one of those isn't even a real Bichon, it's a Toy Poodle trimmed like a Bichon.Stick out tongue  Most of the ones I groom are short all over with a TB head.  Ugh.  A "full coated" Bichon IS quite a bit of maintenance, you can hardly blame people...still annoying, though.

A full coated anything is a lot of maintenance, LOL. I can't blame people, at all. I shave my PRT, and my other dog  is hairless!

Lisa is SAFE!  YES!  WOOHOOOOOOO!  Major relief!

I thought they all did a nice job on the Bichons, but Lisa's was obvioulsy the best.  I thought Danielle's was more of a nice pet trim, I didn't see a show Bichon profile. <shrug>  All three were nicely scissored IMO.

I so suck. I was doing LAUNDRY, and forgot to watch Groomer Has It. ARG! I'll have to catch it at midnight, and hopefully not fall asleep. Emma rules my life. *sigh* What can I do? LOL.

I can't wait!!!  GOOO LISA!  I like Huber too, but I think Lisa deserves the win.

Awww, MAN! *shakes head* If she'd cut the nails, it would have been ugly, and she probably would have lost for that, too. I HATE that! I was really hoping that she'd have a win to finish her competition career.

Also, I want a Bedlington. They just keep catching my eye. Right size, right temperament, love the look.

Ugh, I'm thoroughly disappointed.  I mean, I like Huber, but Lisa so deserved to win.  Totally bummed.

I'm REALLY disapointed. Lisa has been a solid leader the whole season, I was pretty shocked she lost.  I like Huber and am happy for him, but would've been much more satisfied if she won.

    Re: Groomer Has It-season 2!

I'm surprised that Lisa felt she could get away with not doing the nails.  She's been there the whole time, she hears the comments the judges make -- she should have found some way to get the nails done, be it muzzle or whatnot.  I'm quite sure she would have won it.

Did anyone else feel that this finale was easier than last year?  Didn't they have to do at least five dogs last year and go late into the night?  Maybe they even ended up with six, I don't recall, but I remember them adding another dog at the end.

Seemed like Lisa & Huber got off "easy" this year.

I was surprised that Huber won, but happy for him.  I think winning this show will do more for his career than it would do for Lisa.  For Lisa it would more or less just be another title to add to her list.  She's obviously a spectacular groomer and has many options.

    Re: Groomer Has It-season 2!

Doing the nails would have looked really ugly, on tv. There's a very high risk of quicking a dog that's acting out (because they kick), and he would have made a LOT of noise. I can see her losing for *that*, too.

Of course, I'm a little pessimist, sometimes, and feel like these things are set up.

    Re: Groomer Has It-season 2!

I won't disagree with you there!  I feel like the show wants the "underdog" to win.  I didn't think that Artist was truly the best groomer last year.  I think Jonathan (?) had a lot more experience and talent -- same as with Lisa this year.  Both last year and this year, however, the person who truly NEEDED the win got it.

Is that right?  Eh, probably not.  But it's nice for Artist & Huber.  Jonathan is getting plenty of time in the spotlight, too, as he's been on all of the Dogs 101 shows as a "celebrity groomer" or whatever they're calling him these days.  Lisa will do just fine as well.

Kind of like the runners up on American Idol.  lol  Stick out tongue

A bit OT, but I have a nice 7 y.o. Bedlington in my therapy dog class this trip;-)
