    Any digital scrapbookers here????

Hey all, thought I'd post this here and see if any of you might have interest in this. I am big into digital scrapbooking ever since I had Meri. And you all know I love to paint as well. Well, it would seem that it was only a matter of time before I dipped my brush into designing digital scrapbook materials. So I joined forces with a veteran designer and my first collaborative kit is coming out this friday at scraporchard. The reason I'm posting this is in case anyone is interested in a chance for a free kit. All you have to do is post a response here and two people will be chosen at random http://www.digishoptalk.com/boards/showthread.php?t=180381

    Here's a preview:

I would so love it if one of my friends won(which is why I posted it). I hope that this doesn't violate the TOS. But if it does, just let me know. I'm just super excited. Also that link to the digishoptalk forum is an awesome section of the forum where you have a chance to win other kits too. So its a nice little link to bookmark in case you're addicted to digital scrapbooking like I am :)

Emily - it is so beautiful!  I wish you the best of luck.  I don't scrapbook per se, I just tend to do the shutterfly thing but your designs are amazing!

I haven't tried digital scrapbooking but your design is amazing as usual. What a fun collaboration and I have no doubt you'll be a huge success.

K!  I'm heading over.  I just started scrapbooking again, this time digitally and its soo much easier!  But a kit like that would make it even more so, me thinks!  LOL.

Yeah, I saw you post! I hope you win it! But if you don't definitely check that part of the forum as there are always contests like this. And yeah, digital scrapbooking is WAY more convenient than traditional. And I never have to worry how bulky the pages are going to be. So I can add as many embellishments as I desire!

And for significantly less cost!  Assuming you can use the embellishments more than once....hehe.  Jeeze just a sheet of stickers at Wally costs 3 or 4 bucks.  Then there's the dots, the scissors, the glue, the cardstock, the printing of the pictures....

lol, not to mention that you never know how well that glue is going to hold. I know one of my friends who switched to digital a few years ago. She decided to check out her old paper scrapbooks the other day, opened them up and a bunch of the elements had all fallen off. I would be so mad! I think she was pretty steamed about it. But yeah, digital is awesome and if by some chance my printouts get destroyed I can just reprint!

Huge huge huge bonus!  Even just pictures are so nice to have backed up.  I have an old album that was pretty much destroyed when my basement flooded.  I should have just thrown it out.  You can barely see what the pictures are of anymore, but I have pics of my friend Ali, who passed away shortly after HS in there and thats the only place I have pics of her.  I can't bare to throw it out, even though I can't even see her in those pics anymore.  If I could somehow reprint those....

That is so sad about your friend and how teh photos got damaged. That just plain sucks, but I can totally understand hanging onto them.
