  Re: Nicknames for Grandparents Reply Contact Lets see we are of this age so the friends we have are too  while Bob and I are Grandma and Grandpa ( but spelled G'ma and G'pa)  there are  Pa paw (long "a" sound) Paw Paw, Poppa, Pappi, Big Daddy,  Gramps, Grand dad, Da,  Capt, and Boss my ex husband who is a bum is refered to as Grand Poop. on the ladies side we have.. Mi maw, Mee maw, MaMaw, Nana, Nona , Nonnie, Mum, MiMi, Big Momma and Obama's granmother affectionately known as Toot who just passed away this week.  I would suggest as a wonderful resource Grandparents.com  it rocks with suggestions for the new era of grandparenting. MY first grandchild, thanks to a step daughter came when I was in my early 20s.  Mine run from 3 year old Ali to 24 year old Danny.  You can also go ethic and check out your heritage for the title in the language of your family origin. Spanish would be Abuelo or Abuela... Congrats on being lucky enough to have extended family!
