Switching foods. [NB → Natural Ultramix]

The dogs have been on Natural Balance Ultra Premium Dog food for over a year now. Over the months I've sort of mixed it up a little, switching flavors. Pedro has always been a picky eater, and honestly, I've tried everything. He would eat, just only a tiny bit. I'm talking only about 20 kibbles. So, yesterday we ran out of dog food and I went to Petco to pick up some more. I got a bag of the NB and I also got a bag of Natural Ultramix. I gave Pedro about 5 kibbles just to try it out, and he scarfed it down! I'm still unsure about this food. I know it's not one of the worst, but I was wondering if anyone used it and if it's a healthy food to be giving? He seems to enjoy it much more than NB. I personally think the NB kibbles were too hard, even straight out of a newly opened bag of food. Not to mention, the price is a tad cheaper. So, any advice/opinions would be great! :]

I don't know about the quality of the food because I'm not familiar with that brand.  But, I will say my experience has been when it's something new, they eat it right up, after while you'll be back to him refusing.  So, basically my point of posting that was you don't necessarily have to start feeding that because he's eating it now.

Is he maintaining his weight?  I've been told by both my old vet and our new one as long as they are maintaining weight not to worry about how much they eat.

I think it's a good food. One of the only bad things is that it uses brewers rice. I wish it used brown rice. Anyway, my grandma's dog is very picky and he LOVES this food. Whenever someone tells me they have a picky dog this is one of the foods I tell them to try.
