I am really getting Excited about the Ridgeback Rodeo it takes place July 24- July 28 ....IN Connieaughtville Pa..( sp?) What an awesome weekend to spend with your Rhodesian Ridgeback. You do not have to be members of the National club and your RR does not have to be Show quality.
There is EVERY activity you can think of and training for these activites to instruct or improve both You and Your Dog. IT is a weekend of networking and rejoicing in the accomplishments of others not just your dog. Agility, rally, lure coursing, Straight Racing, Hunting, tracking, herding, Obedience, conformation classes, Fun Matches , CGC and ATTS Bob and I locked in last year for our return as it is easily the most fun dog folk can have in a weekend !!
Conformation folks are often snarky and impatient THIS is a chance to relax, work yourself and your dog then get together for hay rides and 40 foot tall bon fires where yes we do have a talented lady who plays her guitar and everyone sings along with her. You sit in the area and dream dreams that leave you spiritually refreshed and closer to your dog that you would ever think possible.
While there are hotels, motels and B&Bs near by you can also bring a RV or tent and enjoy camping in a lovely paddock . They cook 2 meals that are 5 star quality ....
