But all of that comes with a price, and that price is grief when our beloveds reach their end, which is always way too soon. Fourteen years is not long enough. Twenty isn't. Not when you know and love a dog like Jasmine. I am so sorry that you are facing this. Knowing that it will come doesn't make the pain hurt less. It HURTS. Please give your darling girl a gentle kiss on the nose from all of us. If her time is short, I hope with all my strength that the time that remains is filled with love and peace. I questioned him when I was 8 years old and my mother passed away due to cancer. I wanted to know why her and why did he take my grandmother that we lived with a year later. I still have no answers but I have learned that we must not know everything in life because then the ride would not make us stronger or the people we are today. So Pray, Love, Remember and Cherish every moment that is what will get you through this.
