    Xerxes (Ed)

Some of you have been asking where Ed is.  Well, the short answer is, not here, or on any of the usual dog boards.  But, he did give me permission to tell his friends where they can correspond with him, so if you would like to know, please PM me.

Just to clarify here, Ed did nothing wrong to cause the deactivation of his account. Ed, like others, made a decision to leave on his own and asked that Jaime deactivate his account upon his departure.  The decision was a personal one and not one he made easily and I agree… without him, the place feels different. He brought a lot to this forum and was one of the people I found most helpful early on. He was always so willing to help anyone and he had such an incredible amount of knowledge about sighthounds to share with the public.  He is one of the best people I know and his stories and pics of Zerk, his consistent good advice and sense of humor will be very, very missed around here.  What a shame.

I ass-u-me that he wouldn't have left on his own, leaving voluntarily is even sadder!Sad  Thanks for clearing that up, I sure hope he only takes a break and then returns.

Me, too.  His posts were reasoned and for the most part exceedingly polite.  I miss having him around, and by the number of PM's and emails that I have gotten, so do others.  when I finally caught up with him on another site (not a dog forum) he did say to tell you all hello!

Fact-Ed did request to have his account closed

Fact-I did try and talk him out of it

Fact-his account is available should he like to return

He wil be missed by me in particular as well. We spent many a post and e-mail talking dogs and I have enjoyed our conversations with the promise of one day meeting each other..our paths crossed at many shows we just never met and If you're still reading Ed...miss ya!

Yes, he will be missed....which brings me to the question, why did he feel such a burning desire to leave?

    Re: Xerxes (Ed)

I think it is a legit question....don't you?

Weird, when people who once were doing fine and had a good time on this board  feel like they need to leave and even have their account deactivated.

No, I don't ...I don't share anything about another member with another member...as I said, you'll have to ask him. What I posted was MY involvement since I was mentioned in this post and the process.

People come and go on this forum all the time. I myself do just the same...sometimes you just need a break from the crap

    Re: Xerxes (Ed)

I don't think it's weird. Esp when someone leaves a bunch of boards all at once...sounds like they might just have decided to have less time online to me. Not always a bad thing...being an addict I could never do such a thing...lol.
