Just another thought, but he could be a German shepherd mix. They're very common, and that could account for the black color, coat, longer nose, roach back, etc.
In the first pic i kinda think he looks like kaiser...
But Kaiser's profile is way different from your dogs... i think your dog looks like liesje's coke!!
