I have 2 Samoyeds, Kiki and Nike. They are usually very well behaved, but lately, they have realized that the sound of the garage door opening means that we might (it's a parking garage for 10 people) be coming home and go into a barking frenzy. They didn't use to do this, but now it is getting really bad and I think the neighbors are upset. I really want to fix this behavior---help!!
We have a small patio they stay on during the day. It's big enough for the crate and toys and food and a little bit of walking around. The fence is tall and blocks the view. I run them 4+ miles almost every day, so they are well exercised. When we come home, we have tried waiting for them to stop to let them out, but it didn't work without making the neighbors upset at the noise. We tried spraying them with water, but that didn't work either. My husband gets home from school around 3 pm, so they are really only alone for 6 hours and we let them out to go potty enough, so I don't think that's an issue. What do I do?
