10 wk. old puppy always acting hungry?

We have an almost 11 wk. old Boston terrier puppy who we feed 1/4 cup of dry puppy food 3 times a day. She doesn't always finish it, but even when she does, she walks around the house sniffing the floor so intensely like she is starving, because she is sniffing around where our other dogs have eaten, apparently looking for crumbs, etc.. She doesn't seem as interested in playing with her many toys, just sniffing and sniffing and scrounging for crumbs of food.  Any suggestions?

i think as long as your dog is healthy and not searching for a place to go potty, i would not worry about it.... especially if it is not always eating all of its own food... puppies are often interested in anything and everything but their toys! lol

hope you dont worry to much.

i really think that it will be ok, as long as you dont see anything physically wrong with it!

hope this releaves you a little bit.

Get a fecal flotation done at your vet clinic to test for parasites.  If she is clear, then I would assume this to simply be investigative behavior and not a cause for concern.

Besides the vet visit/worming, you could feed smaller portion four times a day.  Cau is just turning 10 weeks and he would protest LOUDLY if I fed him only 3 times a day yet, Sleep

If the puppy is healthy, are you feeding it the recommended amount? I would feed an 11 week old puppy 4-5 times a day and let him eat what he wanted and then take it up.
