    Well, here we go again!

Several weeks ago Todd was approached by the competition and after a fair amount of negotiating, accepted another job.  The good news is it's only 70 miles down the road...more money, fewer hours, they'll move us, pay commuting expenses, etc......the only slightly bad news is that we'll need to move.  He worked his last day at the old station yesterday and started the new job today.

Our lease here is up the end of May, so that's when we'll aim to move....mid to late May.  I'm really thrilled that I'll be seeing my husband again when he's actually awake...12-14 hour days that START at 5:30 AM are not real condusive to actually having time together.

So folks, send out some "great house in the country" vibes for us if you would.  I'm  excited...not about moving persay, but about the possibilities!  And heck, in a town bigger than this, I should be able to find a job myself!

Whoa, you've had your share of moves!  Guess this must be the reason that you couldn't buy a house...sending wishes for finding the perfect place!

RE: Well, here we go again!

Radio is about as stable as the military, so I'm more or less USED to the moves, but had hoped THIS last one would be the final move.  We're renting this house with an option, but......

When we came up here the General Manager made Todd a LOT of promises....but the GM left and the owner chose not to keep those promises..and as more and more people have left, s/he has just hung on to their salaries and not replaced them, instead expecting the remaining people to shoulder an even larger work load.  So while it became intolerable for HIM to work those kinds of hours at least this move brought us to MI, which is where we've wanted to be for a very LONG time.  And, hey, stuff happens, you deal with it.  At least THIS time everything is in WRITING!  No promises that aren't WRITTEN!

RE: Well, here we go again!

Interestingly.....just got a notice in the mail that our health insurance was cancelled effective YESTERDAY!!  Not LEGAL....and I'm sure when the person called to CANCEL it, they did NOT bother to contact the payroll company so that tommorows check will have insurance premiums withheld.....I'm waiting for a call back from the business manager but boy is the "stuff" ever gonna hit the fan.  I just looked up the cobra laws and not only can they NOT cancel the insurance, they can also NOT deny us cobra........

Just further confirms that leaving was the right move......
