    What's your guilty pleasure . . . . . . . Deb W.

What is the first thing you do once all your guests leave on Thanksgiving Day or what do you once you get home if you were the guest ???

For me  . . . I HAVE to have "my" turkey sandwich.  2 slices really good sourdough bread, lightly toasted.  Smear both slices liberally with Hellman's mayo.  Add warm slices of turkey and a scoop of cold apple, saugsage and cornbread dressing.  Plenty of S&P and a cold beer and my Thanksgiving is complete.

    Deb, lol, good one!

I change into my sloppy comfy clothes, and its turkey sandwich for me too!  two slices of wheat bread with Mayo, warm dark meat, jellied cranberry sauce, glass of milk!  MMMMMM yummy!  In fact I could actually do without all the other stuff if I could just have my turkey sandwich :)

My whole day is a guilty pleasure.  I spend it at the animal shelter in the morning, then I go home and eat whatever the heck I want, take a nap, etc.  No stress, no mess.  Having no real amount of relatives or friends allows for this.  I don't mind.

I finish off the chocolate cream pie if any is left then its nap time for me.

I'm a black friday shopper I'm out at walmart @ 3am thank god my walmart lets you in at that time instead of having those long lines. This year I'll probably go even earlier seen somethings I want and back at the electronics, line is always the longest.

Oh man, that sounds amazing and I'd be right there with except I'll have a glass of wine instead of beer.

Did anyone see that Food Network show on using leftovers?  This one sounded so good, I may have to try it.  Take leftover dressing and roll it in little balls, then coat with fine breadcrumbs and FRY them.  She made a dipping sauce from cranberry sauce, I missed how she made that but OMG it looked soooooo good.  Now that would be a guilty pleasure but not one I'd do the same day as T-day.  I don't want to do any cooking after fixing turkey dinner.

I always have to fix a turkey and dressing even if we eat elsewhere.  We MUST have our leftovers and some selfish people won't let you take all theirs when you are a guest.  lol

Same here. I bought a turkey last weekend and will cook it sometime next week. We always have dinner at my SIL's and altho she sends us home with some leftovers, it's just not the same as having the whole turkey to ourselves. I like stuff that most others don't like, such as brussel sprouts and creamed onions, so I may have to make that stuff just for myself. Man, I'm really hungry now.

I remember one year, one of my poor law school student nephews asked if he could he could take all my leftovers because he was so broke he couldn't afford to buy food.  I nearly shot him on the spot.

LOL!  When my nieces and their families come they all want to take leftovers.  I offer them each a teaspoon of everything because that's all I'm willing to surrender.

ROTFLMBO!  We do not do a big family traditional thing, when growing up we always volunteered at the homeless shelter then Mom made T & D for us to have our leftovers.  Now, it is my favorite holiday cause it is 4 days at home with Hubby!  I fix T&D and gravy just for the two of us.  Dont have to share leftovers, Devil  Occasionally hubby's family will ask us to come to see them but usually it is just us!

I am going to have to remember the Dressing leftover balls, that sounds very good!  I wonder what they mixed for the dipping sauce?  Do you remember what show it was on?
