Reply Contact I'm glad to hear Maggie is alright.  Sounds as if you're doing everything right.  Especially considering the owners didn't sound concerned.  I'm always worried when I take my dogs out (8 of them).  I live in a rural area with trails that used to be old railways....so there are houses all around with dogs.  I can't even begin to count all the times dogs have come running at us.  I usually only bring one at a time in these areas so that I can pick them up if anything goes wrong.  I can definitely feel your anger and concern though.  Report each time....sometimes that's the only way owners will clue in. She yelped when she was scratching herself so I dug through her thick coat and found two so far. She yelped bad when my husband went to pick her up too so she's going to the vet tomorrow. The vet shaved her down where her wounds are, and told us to keep an eye on them and make sure they heal properly and don't start to puss. She's on a week of antibiotics and pain meds. I'm glad we took her since we have no clue if the other dog is UTD on it's shots. Hubby talked to the dog warden yesterday, and the warden is fuming. He went to their house twice and no one would answer the door, he left them a letter and also had been calling them leaving voice messages and they will not call him back. We have to call him to tell him the cost of the vet bill and such. what a pain. ~~ Jenn ~~ "Dogs are miracles with paws"
