    Multi-room baby monitor (janobonano)

I have been having a heck of a time trying to find a multi-room baby monitor. We only have two bedrooms upstairs, so once the new baby comes, Willa will move into the master bedroom and we'll have to move downstairs. I want to have a monitor in each of their rooms because we'll be so far away. I've been looking online and it seems like everything is sold out/discontinued besides the $200+ video monitors.

I know this is a long shot, but if anyone knows of where I can get one, or has an old/used one they want to sell, please let me know! Thanks.

My first thought was Burlington Coat Factory...and presto!  A dual monitor by Fisher Price.

I think that is the one I got for my son 2 years ago, and they love it.

Jan - did you check ebay?  I know this sounds silly - but what about two separate monitors?  Or will you get feedback/static from the two signals ?  There are monitors on ebay for $20 - that's where I sold mine if not I would have sent it to you.

Yeah, I was thinking two monitors that are capable of being on different frequencies.

I don't know the price, but my fiance's family bought one at babies r us when his grandma had a stroke....they put one in the bathroom and one in her bedroom...it also had a portable "listening end".

I have a multi room video monitor that was around $100, so to get both rooms, you would still be looking at close to $150.  I also wondered about another monitor.  Most of them have different channels you can put them on so even if you got the same one you have now, you would use each of them on different channels.

I've read a lot of mixed reviews about having two different monitors. Some people say they get horrible static & interference and others don't have a problem. We also have a cordless phone. I'm not sure how to tell which frequency everything uses. Confused

Thanks Marty, but that one has two receivers, not two bases.

    Re: Multi-room baby monitor (janobonano)

Funny baby monitor story:  our monitor was excellent (Sony baby call).  We we lived in a flat with another family above us, I was worried since we have portable stuff, they have portable stuff, etc.  Anyway, never had a problem - definitely recommend this one if you can snag it on ebay on the cheap.

When Riley was about 2 months old I was outside on the side of the house with Charlie and the monitor gardening or something.  Since the houses were really really old they were really really close together.  All of a sudden a male's voice came over the monitor - must have been picking up the guy next door on the phone.  Charlie went crazy running to the back door, barking like nuts, just balasitic.  Not making the connection I let him in and he went right to her room - peeked in and sighed.  It was the most adorable thing.  He never really shows that much attention to her (except when she eats), but if he thinks she is in danger - enter Charlie the beagle the guard dog.  LOL

    Awww. G'boy, Charlie!

My sister just moved, but in Boston she lived in the upstairs of a house. The family downstairs also had a child and a monitor, and my sister would sometimes hear their kid on her monitor.
