    Update on Dublin

Dublin has been having problems with this potassium bromide in regards to an upset stomach.  He woke vomitting blood and was very sick.  In terrible pain and I put him down a couple hours ago.  I couldn't afford all that was needed to try to help him get through this.  It was controlling his seizures very well but in the end he got pancreatitis.  They think he had ulcers from the amount of blood and he might need surgery also.  He need at least a week in the hospital and I didn't have the money to even start this process.  Our lives are shattered, my heart if broken and I am lost right now.  His presence was huge and without him I just don't know what to do next.  This was so out of left field.

    Re: Update on Dublin

Thank you so very much, it does help to hear that others felt you did what you could.  And a special thanks to Callie who in beginning of this (it's only been a few month) tried to help me make the right informed choices.  I know Callie I didn't do enough and I didn't even start to get going on the holistic end of things.  His clusters made it hard to not start the pheno.  But I do believe that with an endless supply of cash on hand things could have been so different for him.  I should have seen earlier than with his history of stomach problems that bromide might be too harsh on his digestive system but it did control his seizures so well.  And its hard to imagine only 4 weeks on it and it did that much damage so soon.   But two years of living with this amazing dog was still worth everything we had to do.  I would do it again in heartbeat.  I just don't know how to spend my days without him.  Who will hike with me?  Who will warm our beds?
