So far, I've made two people cry.

Were they grown men??  Because if they were you're really, really good, Amanda.

    Deb W.

One was.  Unfortunately, he's the "most likely to cry" in our office, so making him cry doesn't say much.

Paige, HR refuses to let me handle "pink slips."  I have hiring priviledges, but my firing abilities are hindered a bit.  I have to meet & discuss it with HR before I give someone the boot.  That being said, I've only fired two people in my two years here.  They were, literally, fighting in the break room.

I came on here with something to say... but now after catching up I can't remember what it was. I'm sure it was enlightening and life-changing for all of you. Sorry. Pregnancy brain strikes again.

I got my Orvis dog book catalog today and the cover contest winners are two black Labs, adorable.  Gina, you could have won this so easy with any number of your pictures.  $500 Orvis gift card was the prize.  Actually several of our members could have won with their beautiful photos.

Edited to add that $500 from Orvis only translates to around $100 in the real world. lol

I'm so glad to home from work, today.  It's gonna take me all week to catch up from Monday.  But, at least I don't work for Amanda Devil

I need to go make dinner, but don't actually want to.  Maybe I'll break out some of that TGIF mojito I have in the fridge!  Then we'll see what ends up happening for dinner :)

Kim!  That.  Is.  AWESOME!  I'm so glad for you!

I went to Wally tonight after work with my sister.  I needed to get window kits to cover my windows with.  While we were there my sister saw the Biggest Loser CD on that demo thing by Sationary.  Of course she had to press the button.  It wasn't bad, but then it cut out and the song that started after was The Wheels On The Bus.  It has been stuck in my head ever since.  I wonder if I could sue Walmart for that...there must be some grounds right?

Janice I do that all the time and I'm not preggers!

Today ended up being pretty productive at work although I was reminded how under handed and sneaky a certain person can be. I know that this person can't be trusted but every so often I let my guard down and am reminded all over again. What a miserable way to be all the time... Constantly thinking of ways to be sneaky and manipulative. That has to be tiring don't you think?

I did 5 sar practices with neiko tonight. He did better than I expected! My sar mentor keeps saying that neiko is going to go far and fast but I'm skeptical. I just never thought that this would be neikos thing. Maybe I'm wrong though. Neiko certainly seems to be loving it and exceeds my expectations every week.

After training I took all the dogs to the school playground in my neighborhood. A couple showed up with their pit/greyhound(?) mix and man was that dog fast! They raced around with that dog in the lead forever. When we finally left all their tongues were practically on the ground they were panting so hard. Its good to be a dog today, I think :)

I got my couch!  And some shelves up!  Yay, for some reason that makes me super happy.

The girls have claimed the couch.  Chloe has been sleeping on it for about an hour now.

The delivery guy was super helpful, and we put the feet on together.

Jewlieee, I totally sympathize on the coworker.  I have one that I'd like to put in a box and mail to Austrailia.  There is no way to complain to the manager without seeming like a whiner.  I'm so lucky my other close team member is a wonderful lady.

    Re: Mindless toosday

I didn't read everything else... on Saturday, a boy who lives in a residential facility near me, one I used to be a teacher at, was hit by several cars and killed. He eloped from his residence during the night, and there is an overpass in the facility that goes over Route 1. He either climbed it and jumped off or fell onto Route 1. I did think at first it could be a boy I had as a student, because some things in the description fit, but I did find out it wasn't him. Still though, it's devastating. A 17 year old boy shouldn't have to die.  I don't know if he had a history of eloping, but perhaps if he did, a facility surrounded by major highways wasn't right for him.

    Re: Mindless toosday

    Jen, I'm so sorry.

Nicole, I really am not that bad to work with.  I, routinely, have people in other departments inquire about openings in my department.  Today was just an off day.

Julie, & Amber, send you coworkers to me.  I'd love to take care of them for you. Devil

I have determined that my current birth control is not working for me.  I have been moody, irritable, & downright mean today, which is a far cry from my normal silly, hyper, sarcastic self.  This is the second time that this has happened.  Both times have been at the same stage of my bc pills.  Tomorrow, I'll call my doctor to see what he recommends.

DH was really sweet today.  He knew that I was having a bad day, & went above & beyond in order to improve my mood.  When I got home, he met me with a bouquet of lillies.  He also had dinner almost ready, as well as already having homework duty done.  He's also being quite snuggly.  Have I mentioned how lucky I am to have him?

As a matter of fact, he has three!

One is 30.  (He's 4 minutes younger than DH.)  The other two are 26.  They finally seem to be developing brains, which is nice.
